Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure involving tiny injections into the surface of the skin. These injections contain a combination of vitamins, minerals and other components naturally found in the skin, such as hyaluronic acid that diminishes with age.
This type of treatment could be employed to treat skin concerns of various areas such as hands, upper arms, chest, stomach, front and back thighs, buttocks, etc. It is primarily used to treat wrinkles and aging skin. On successful completion of the treatment, one can experience considerable changes to the skin. These include a considerable firmness in the skin, reduction in the fat content of the areas of the body treated, tissue regeneration on scars or stretch marks, muscle toning and collagen formation stimulation, initiation of hair growth and passive hair follicle activation, along with a reduced hair loss, without any kind of side effects.
The treatment time takes approximately thirty minutes and while it is not painful, it can be slightly uncomfortable so an anesthetic cream can be used if skin is a little sensitive. With minimal downtime – a little bruising and swelling may occur but it will be short lived and should settle within 24 hours – skin will become more radiant, hydrated, nourished and firmer with an improved texture. Depending on skin type, a course of 6-8 sessions is advised every two weeks with maintenance treatments 1-2 times a year.
As always, we encourage that it’s a good idea to have a pre-treatment consultation just to check your eligibility and talk through the exact results you’re looking for.
